Crockpot Apple Cider

Ingredients

  • 2 dozen apples (cored and cubed)
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 ginger thumb (peeled)
  • 2 tsp whole cloves
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Place apples, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt into an 8-quart crock pot. Pour water over top. Cover and cook on high for 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Remove the solids from the cider and press the pulp to extract as much liquid as possible. Whisk the brown sugar into the cider until dissolved. Can be served hot with caramel sauce or a shot of your favorite alcohol. 


Pumpkin Spiced Coffee 

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • Whipped topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and heat, but do not boil. Stir occasionally until all ingredients are combined.
  2. Serve hot or over ice and top with whipped cream.


Classic Hot Toddy

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz whiskey
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Lemon wedge
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Star anise 

Instructions

  1. Combine whiskey, honey, lemon juice and water into a mug and stir to combine.
  2. Top with lemon wedge, add cinnamon stick and garnish with star anise. 


Toasted Marshmallow Hot Cocoa

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk of choice 
  • ⅛ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ⅛ cup sugar
  • Marshmallows
  • Toasted marshmallow syrup 

Instructions

  1. Add your milk, cocoa powder and sugar to a small sauce plan. Heat over medium low heat whisking often until warm. Do not let your mixture boil.
  2. Transfer to a cup and whisk in marshmallow syrup to taste.
  3. Toast marshmallows in the oven or air fryer until golden brown and add to the top of your cocoa.
