You’ll receive an email notification, and the item will be marked as “purchased” so others know it's already been gifted.

Do I need an account to buy a gift from someone’s registry?

No Linen Chest account is required. You can shop directly from their MyRegistry list and complete your purchase on LinenChest.com or at any Linen Chest store.

How do I make sure the recipient knows I bought their gift?
- If you made a purchase without using the share link, go back to MyRegistry and mark the gift as “purchased.” You can also leave a gift note if prompted during checkout.
- If you made a purchase via the share link, the item will automatically be marked as purchased and the registry ID will be indicated in your order confirmation email.

Can I return or exchange a gift I bought through MyRegistry?
- If you’re the gift recipient (Registrant): You can return or exchange the item with a gift receipt and we will refund the amount onto a credit note or a gift card, if applicable, for up to 60 days following your event date.
- If you’re the purchaser (Guest): You may return the item for a refund to your original method of payment, provided you are within the 30-day return window and the item meets the conditions outlined in our Return Policy.
Yes. Our standard return policy applies to all items purchased through MyRegistry by guests.

When will the items be shipped to the Registrant?

Items purchased from a MyRegistry gift registry will be fulfilled and shipped following the estimated shipping times on the www.linenchest.com website. Please note that items will not be shipped based on the Gift Registry Event Date.

Who do I contact if I have an issue with my gift registry?

You can contact MyRegistry’s Customer Service team for help with technical issues, account access, or making changes to your registry—including adding or removing items.

If I buy an item in-store, will it be automatically marked as purchased in the gift registry?
- For Linen Chest-only registries, items purchased in-store are usually marked as purchased right away at checkout.
- For universal registries (that include items from multiple retailers), it may take up to 24 hours for the update to show on the registry. If you would like it to reflect immediately, you can also manually update it via the MyRegistry app or website.

What if I purchase a gift from a registry but need to cancel or return it?
Online: If you’ve changed your mind after placing an order, we’ll do our best to assist with a cancellation. Please note that orders can only be cancelled if they have not yet shipped. Once shipped, cancellations are no longer possible — however, you may still be eligible to return the item in accordance with our Return Policy.
To request a cancellation, please contact our Customer Care team via live chat. Be sure to have your 8-digit order number handy (you’ll find it in your order confirmation email).
In-Store: You can return the item for a refund to your original method of payment, as long as you’re within the 30-day return window.
To have the item available again for others to purchase, please reach out to MyRegistry’s Customer Service team with the registry holder’s name and the item details. They can help restore the item to the registry list.

Can I add a Cash Fund to my gift registry?

Yes, MyRegistry offers the option to add a Cash Fund to your gift registry. This feature can be set up through your MyRegistry account. If you’d like to use this option, log into your registry on MyRegistry and follow the steps provided to enable it.

Where can I see the registrant’s shipping address or other contact details?

For privacy reasons, we do not provide a registrant’s contact details directly. If this information is available on the registry, you can view it by accessing the registry using the Registry ID or Share Link provided by the registrant.
This ensures that the registrant’s privacy is protected while still allowing guests to find the information they need to send their gift.

If I have an active registry that I created before Linen Chest joined MyRegistry (before August 2025), how will it work?

Your registry will continue to work exactly as it did when you created it. All original rules, benefits, and processes remain the same until your event date has passed and it’s time to close your registry.
