Our Story

60 years ago, a mother of five boys struggled to find a home goods store that carried everything she needed under one roof.
Thus, the idea of Linen Chest was born, and remains family-owned to this day.

Sylvia Leibner founded the first Linen Chest location on Queen Mary Street in Montreal.

1961

We expanded our offering to custom window treatments, tablecloths, and bath accessories.

1970s

Our Rockland flagship store expanded to 15,000 sq ft to accommodate a more diverse product assortment.

1997

LinenChest.com became transactional, offering a unique selection of home goods to customers all across Canada via the web.

2006

Our store chain doubled in size to keep up with market demand—from 13 to 26 stores in only five years!

2010 - 2015

Our Rockland new concept store launched with an improved shopping experience.

2018

We built a 200,000 sq ft distribution center to keep up with the company's exponential growth.

2019

We celebrated 60 years as one of Canada's top home retail destinations!

2021

We opened our 40th store location at CF Carrefour Laval, marking a major growth milestone.

2023
