Did you know there’s a national chip and dip day? Well there is and it’s March 23rd! The best way to celebrate this tasty holiday is by making some delicious chip and dip combos. Here are 6 of our favorites for you to try at home!

 

Tortilla Chips and Guacamole

Is there really anything better than a fresh bowl of guac? For a delicious homemade guacamole combine mashed ripe avocados, diced tomatoes, diced onion, lime juice salt and pepper to taste. Serve with plain or lime tortilla chips!

 

Potato Chips and Onion Dip

There’s no dip more classic than onion dip. Simply combine one packet onion soup mix with sour cream and serve with your favorite flavored or plain potato chips! For added crunch top with crispy fried onions.

 

Corn Chips and 7 Layer Dip 

You can never have too much dip, so why not go for 7 layers! Simply get a large casserole dish and add the following dips one layer at a time: refried beans, sour cream mixed with taco seasoning, guacamole, salsa, cheese, green onions, olives or fresh tomatoes. Serve with corn chips!

 

Pita Chips and Hummus 

For a tasty and healthy chip and dip option try pita chips and hummus. Try making your own by adding drained chickpeas, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper and garlic to a food processor and blending until smooth. You can also add in things like basil, red pepper, or even spinach.

 

Pretzel Chips and Buffalo Dip 

Make your own Buffalo Chicken Dip by combining shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, hot sauce, ranch dressing and blue cheese crumbles in a bowl. Then spoon into a shallow baking dish and bake until heated through. Serve with pretzel chips!

 

Blue Corn Chips and Salsa 

We can’t forget about chips and salsa! Easy fresh salsa can be made by blending diced canned or fresh tomatoes, green chilies, garlic, onion, jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper in the food processor until chunky. Add more jalapeno to meet desired spice level.
