Measure vertically from where the bedskirt will hang to the floor. Compare that distance with the 13.5-inch drop to judge where the hem will sit. The drop is the hanging length, not a mattress pocket depth.

No. Twin, Double, Queen and King all have a 13.5-inch drop. Only the width and length change, so measure your bed-base height as well as its dimensions before selecting a size.
That depends on the height from the bedskirt’s hanging point to the floor. Compare your measurement with the 13.5-inch drop. A taller bed base will leave more clearance below the hem; a lower one may let the fabric rest on the floor.
The Double measures 54 × 75 inches, while the Queen measures 60 × 80 inches. Both have a 13.5-inch drop. Use the actual measurements rather than treating these sizes as interchangeable.
