Coffee was first discovered by an Ethiopian herder whose goats - after ingesting coffee berries - were so stimulated they could not fall asleep. Recognizing the benefit of these coffee berries, he went on to share his discovery with others. And the rest, as they say, is history.

  • Whole Bean
Grinding your own beans will produce fresher, better tasting coffee with a more complex flavor.
  • Coffee Grinders
If you buy whole beans, you’ll need to get a grinder. This will allow you to create the ground texture of your preference (from fine to coarse). Some grinders come with handy features, such as automatic shut-off or high-tech storage and transfer solutions. More sophisticated models offer as many as 20 grinder settings.
  • Pre-Ground
If convenience is a major priority for you, pre-ground coffee is the way to go.
Select your grind based on the type of coffee maker you have. From finest to most coarsest: Turkish, extra fine, fine, medium, coarse.

In order to preserve freshness, coffee should be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry spot (not the folded-over bags they are sold in).
